Our church was established in the 1850’s and has had a long record of service to Steuben County and the Golden Lake community.

We’re a local church with a global reach.  As United Methodists we are part of a family of 8,075,010 lay members and 45,175 clergy.  We are one of 34,892 local churches in the U.S.

Our ministry extends far beyond our four walls.  The United Methodist Church is in mission in more than 125 countries.  We have 903 missionaries and 135,000 volunteers in mission.  We believe we are a church that makes a difference in our world!  And we believe that active participation in a vital and dynamic church makes a difference in our lives, and our community.

We’ve found that gathering for worship with other Christians helps strengthen our faith and adds meaning and value to our lives.  Our worship is open, friendly and informal.  We sing the great hymns of the church, pray together, read scripture and share in a sermon designed to help us grow in our faith.
